April 19. Heard no Fox Sparrow. Saw a Golden-
crowned Sparrow stretching in dry soil
near post - in full plumage. Bush-tit
met in cypress tree empty - bottom
torn out of nest. Mrs. Kimball told
me she had not yet heard a Grosbeak
in her canyon - now a House Wren.
Her latest date for the grosbeak herebefore
has been April 15, earliest April 7.

Juncos singing near Coolidge place.
