X-ray pictures taken of abdomen.
Hot. Buckharn house and Lewis
"house burned and fire escaped up

July 3. Made X-rays at 8:30 a.m. Still
Hot.
July 4. Cooler. Fog in a.m. Feeling a little
better.
July 5. Hot. Dr. MacLean showed us pictures
Pronounced my trouble "gastroptosis".
July 6. Hot, hotter, hottest.
July 7. Hot.
July 8. Hot glasses. Made 26 glasses gain-
Family of robins came into oaks at
dusk.
July 9. Went to Belvedere in late p.m.
with Mrs. Paton. Had beautiful walk
around south end of island at night.
July 10. Warm. Pleasant. Mrs. Edw. Nolmes took me
for a walk in the morning. Looked into
many lovely gardens. Mr. H. Moore & Sam
Raphael p.m. Returned to Berkeley in evening
Birds in Belvedere:
Western and Glauconis-winged Gulls,
Crows - several. Calif. Jay, Ducks.
