Anna Hummer, Allen Hummer, W. Flycatcher, Nuttall Sparrow, Chickadees, Vigors Warbler, Bush-Tito, Brown Towhee, S.F. Towhee, Song Sp. Linnets - All the songs of Nuttall Sparrows heard, following a type different from Berkeley Nuttalls and different from beach birds. [illegible] The first three notes a very sweet drum- in whistler. Have heard this type nowhere else. July 11. Busy getting last things ready before going to bed for a month - July 12. Miss Yetter came to take care of me. Went to bed at 2 p.m. Measurements - Chest 31 in. - Waist 27 in. Angle bit. ribs - 3 in. below sternum 2 1/2 in. Weight 113 lb. July 13. Eating 2 qts milk, 1/2 pt. cream in addition to three meals. Foot of bed raised 3 in. Pleasant weather. July 14. Fry early a.m. Pleasant, warm. July 18. Chilly fog. Heard thrush singing. July 19. Beautiful day.
