June. 1921. Boulder Creek June 5. Walked up to Wildwood where we had dinner at Mrs. West's. Went thru' Brindlecom place on return trip. There I saw and heard a House Wren - the only one I have heard in the San Lorenzo Valley. Saw the Willow Woody in Boulder. Hot. June 6. Hot - North wind. Saw Anthony Green Heron fly over Barker place. June 7. Cooler. Finished Barker Census. June 8. Walked up to Walters' Cherry Orchard. Saw Western Tanager in same redwoods where I saw him last year. James heard Hermit Thrush. Young Creepers seen. Beautiful weather. Warm. June 9. Hot. Went rowing at Ben Lomond. Saw Anthony Green Heron again. June 10. Hot. June 11. A little cooler. Went swimming. June 12. Warm - Pleasant. June 13. A beautiful day. After racking the trunks, I went into the Johnson garden where I saw the female Black-Visated Gray Warbler. Call note - a low pitched voice-less "clip" like water dropping on a board. Could not find nest. Returned to Berkeley in afternoon.
