June 1 (cont.) Wren-tits, Vigoro Vireos, Brush-
tits, Calif. Woodp., Ash-throated Flycatcher
Spurred Towhee, Thrasher, Black-thr. Gray
Warbler, Hutton Vireo, Calif. Jay. Warb-
ling Vireo, Flycatcher, Grosbeak,
Russet-b. Thrush, Purple Finch, Green B.
Goldfinch, Olive-sided Flycatcher, Pine
Siskin, Cabanis Woodp., Chipping sp.,
Cnail, W. Wood Pewee, Anna Hummingbird,
Violet Green Swallow. Of these, the
thrush, grosbeak, Olive-sides Fly were
in the redwood region where it touched
the foot of the cloudy hills.
June 2. Two Red-tailed Hawks flew over about
3:30 p.m. - Calling loudly.
June 3. Went out at 5:20 a.m. to take
bird count on the Barker place. Cored
west side of river. Warm.
June 4. Heard W. Martin at 4:15 A.M. Olive-
sided and W. Flycatcher already calling
about once a second. Went to Barker Place
at 4:45 A.M. - E. side of river to bare
tree at top of hill. Took afternoon train
to Ben Lomond. Had supper there
and walked home. Saw Willow Woodp.
and Audubon Green Heron.
