Sketched on campus. Saw Hermit Thrush, Robin
Anderson W. Golden-cr. Sparrow mounting.
Apr.16. Fox Sp., Varied Thrush, Ruby-cx. Kinglet +
Hermit Thrush still here. Took lunch into
hills. Gray day but not cold.
Apr.11. Johnnie Warbler at end of Mosswood Rd. 2 P.M.
Apr.12. Went to Bannberg in afternoon with Mrs.
Reugass, Mr. Kelly & Miss Beaman. Saw 35
Species including 6 Avocets, 30 Yellow-legs,
12 Stilts, 1 Black-B. Plover, 300 Dowitchers,
1 Bittern. Rained at night. Wonderful wild
flowers on the marshes..
Apr.13. Cold, N.W. Wind. Wrote report for Bird Los
Apr.14. Cold N. wind. Frost. Norleans boys brought
deal Brown Towhee.
Apr.15. High jog in A.M. Slightly warmer.
Saw Willow Woodpecker. Fox Sp., Ruby-cx.K.,
Anderson Warbler. Skinned Brown Towhee.
Nests - 1. Allen Hummer under lee of wooden
fence partly tipped over. One bird fled
as we came near. Other bird nearly ready
to fly. Shown it to children in Mrs. Elliot's
school. 2. Allen Hummer's nest under
Mrs. Noyes' porch as last year.
