April 1921 San during afternoon 4 Long Espanors, 2 Nuttall Espanors, a few English Spanors, (Black Phoebe, 3 Flickers, 2 Meadow Larks. Heard 1 San Francisco Turkey March 27. Clear. Warm. Light N.W. wind. March 28. Warbling Vireo and Paleolated Warbler heard at 37 Mosswood Rd. March 29. Warbling Vireo and Paleolated Warbler heard again. April 1. Heard 3 W. Flycatchers. Timber building nest in hole in tree near Mrs Gregorys. Hole 2 feet from ground running straight down thus Birds carrying cotton. April 2. Townsend Warbler singing - Wills College - a children's party held by the Collegiate Alumni. I was asked to take children to see birds Very fled birds - Allen Hummingbird, Western Flycatcher, Warbling Vireo and Flickers. April 4. Cold North wind - very cold. April 5. Warmer. House Wren about house all the time. Bubbling over with song.
