Fletcher. Calif. Woodpecker, Yellow Woody,
Titmouse (cute little) Anna H., Thrasher -
Yellow Violets in bloom.
Feb. 23. Clear, warm day. Two thrashers were
ringing most of the morning. One Fox
Sparrin stayed on table all the time while
I cleaned the big window inside. Seeds in
bottle up.
Feb. 24. Spring weather. Birds singing.
Anna Hummer comes to Wild Current
next house constantly, Fletcher drummed
and called as he sat on nesting box
new west windrow.
Feb. 25 Saw a female Allen Hummer in H.
Berkeley in the morning. In the afternoon
in Strawberry Canyon I heard the buzz
of the male Allen Hummer several times
but did not see one. Trillium, Zigzag,
Currant, Osberry in bloom. Warm.
Feb. 26. Went up the canyon with Carol and
Jamie. Allen Hummer heard.
Feb. 27. Fog. Cooler. Flock of 12 Band-tailed
Pigeons flew over Mr. Jacksons house
and over hill toward Sunny Gulch.
Explored new road. Many shooting stars
