Spurred Towhees carry food away to corners of Johnson place. June 5. Allen Hummers in nest near porch hatched. 19 days since second egg was laid. June 6. Allen Hummer in Johnson Garden laid second egg. Juncos eggs in fern box hatched. Ellic blossoms past. Azaleas in full bloom. Yellow lupines past their prime. Wild violets nearly gone. Barn Owl seen by James in evening. June 8. Found nest of Cebanis Woodpeckers in dead alder on N. river bank upper end of Barker place.
