Nor.12. A dozen quail came on to
Table and railing, remaining sometime
To feed on canary seed and crumbs.
Others were at the pool.
Nor. 15. Continued warm weather,
very little fog and no rain.
Large flocks of Gambel, Nuttall
and S.-c. Sparrows go hurrying
through the oaks and understreet.
Not settled to definite feeding
grounds yet.
Nor.16. Six Ruby-crowned Kinglets
in the oaks just E. of house.
All scolding and flying at each
other, some with Crowns raised.
No cat or other source for current
could be located. Seemed to be
a contest for territory. Finally
scattered. Nor. 17. Heard Crow up Canyon.
Nor. 18. Still dry and warm. No high
winds. Just calm clear warm
weather. Large flock of Sparrows
Came to pass. Both Dutermeisters
and Nuttalls singing. Goldencrows
present but heard no songs.
