Pil. W., Sparrow Hawk, Fox Sparrow singing,
Busset backed Thrush and the usual summer
residents. Flock of warblers came
into oak trees outside dining-room windows,
Many pil. W., Townsend, and 1 immature
Hermit W. recognized. also lutescent.
1 Townsend W. alighted on perch of feeding
table.
Sept. 28. Golden-cr. Sp. abundant.
Sept. 30 Ruby-cr. Kinglet and Anduvon W. back
1 W. Grebe on bay and several Heerman's G.
Oct. 7. Hermit Thrush seen. 2 House Wrens,
one singing.
Epidemic of Influenza -
Oct. 27. Clocks back with sun.
Oct. 29. Rusty Song Sparrow on table -
many Golden-cr. Kinglets. Hermit Th.
singing. Dry, warm weather
Oct. 11 - Armistice signed.
Rusty Song Sp. appears everyday,
many times. Cold. Kinglet's eating
aphids on string beans. Golden-cr.
Kinglets very abundant for a month now.
Dec. 9. Saw Orange-crowned Warblers from
Museum.
