Canyon. Many teenagers for two weeks
now. Also Palesated W., Lutetkaunt W.
W. Flycatcher, Warbling Vireos, House Wren,
Rust-b. Thrush, 2 Heermann Gulls
and many sandpipers on bay.
Sept.19. Rust-b. Thrush called at dawn,
2 Grosbeaks in Canyon, Allen H., W. Fly-
catcher, Hutton Vireos (many), Pit-W.
Lut. W., Town. W., Juncoes, (new YL Theater)
Creeper's. Young Grosbeaks in post-jur.
moult. Blender killed Nuttatch and
Golden Crowned Kinglet, Yellow W.,
Willow Woodpeckers. Walked down
Canyon to YK. Theater, then over
to museum and home.
Sept.21. Rain with electric storm.
Hills quite green.
Sept.22. Heard and saw Kingfisher at 7:30 A.M.
Golden-cr. Sp. in dull plumage on ground,
outside dining-room window at 8:30 A.M.
Broken clouds. Warm, green, spring-like.
Meadow Larks, Thrashers, Tinirice and Vigor
Vireos singing. Walked up canyon 9:30-11A.M.
