Diablo Park with Mrs. Ferguson and Elizabeth. Stayed overnight at Red Horse Tavern. Very cold. Heavy frost and icicles in A.M. Saw Killdeer, many in fields. Dual Red-t. Hawks, Sp. Hawks, Meadow Lark in great flocks. Brewer's Blackbirds, Red-w. Blackbirds, Shrike, Blue Jay (Cal.) Pipits, Golden Cr. Sp., White-c. Sp.- Rufous-cs. Sp., Brown Towhee, Black Phoebe, Say Phoebe, Juncos, Slender-billed Nut- hatch, Call Woodpecker, Flicker, Nuttall Woodpecker, Red-br. Sapsuckers, Plain Titmouse, Bush Tito, Hermit Thrush, Green-b. Goldfinch, Willow G - Black birds (many), Ruby-c. Kinglets, Eng. Sparrow. 29 Species
