Sipley and Robert Friday First three released by me by west side of my house on April 2, 1937. Second third released in same place on April 7, 37 House Mow H 97530. Caught in a government Harrow trap left lying on top of my woodshed, about 4 ft. above ground. No bait. Bird ap- parently wandered in out of curiosity. A few days before I found a dead House Mow in same trap, in same location. ← F119914 recaptured 3/17/37 at A. F119941 34-119196 " 10/1937 " A F119924 " " " Golden-crowned Sparrow 34-119370. Flew against my lighted window at 7:45 P.M. I caught it by hand on my front porch, and re- leased it immediately as soon as banded. California Thrasher A285166 - Journal. Picked up by hand at 3 P.M. by side of paved road at "Main Lands" on Mt. Soledad, near La Jolla. Did not appear well, but ate bait in my trap, when released in yard of F.B. Limmer, near Scripps Institution. Would not fly except when traced into air, when it flew about 30 ft. Was recaptured 4 times in yard.
