wrote me under date of 12/7 '35: these "owls
were hatched sometime between June 9th.
and June 16th. in a bird box in my garden
at 140 Estates Drive, Piedmont. Two of
the three were removed from the nest
just after the third had left of its
own accord. They were kept in captivity
until October 5th." Dr. Reynolds then
released them in his garden.
