La Jolla - Trapping Records. July 6.-16 Murarium canyon to junction with canyon just each of it, beginning near murarium. Another string of traps set in second canyon from junction up about 1/4 mile. 40 traps in all. 17 an- imals. 4 gambeli (3♂ & 1♀) Most of the traps were at or near (within 40 ft.) canyon bottom. The other species caught mostly P. m. eremicus - 2 or 3 Reithrodontomys and 1- microtus. Exact no. and sex not noted. July 7. Trapping in same place and also up hillside to top of ridge; a few traps in shallow canyon, between murarium and out door cages. 46 traps 5 gambeli :- 4♂, 1♀. Most of them caught between murarium- and out door cages. July 9. Locality - Hog ranch canyon from bean field up to eucalyptus grove. Traps on canyon floor in thick growth of mustard. Caught 13 gambeli :- 7♂ : 6♂ Cervomathus - 6 . Reithrodontomy[illegible] 1
