Singing sparrow for first time. In brush by roadside - heard at once the soft subdued jay-like call notes of the song sparrow, and the sputtering of a wren-tit. Saw wren-tit. Noted that tail was about length of body. Also heard, buzzing of Parkman wren, - clear note of flicker heard in distance.
