L.W. Hall. This seems to a favorite station.
Later saw the bird. They are not of a
restless disposition apparently and sing
for a considerable time without change
of position. - Spurred towhee seen and
heard above) L.W. Hall. From same station
heard coast joy, song sparrow, western
warbling vireo and the aberrant
spurred towhee. This towhee was found
in company with a young brown
towhee about which it seemed to be
quite solicitous. - Parkman wrens (2)
were seen in vicinity of nest. Did
not enter it while under observation.
- California jay foraging on ground
above L.W. Hall. - Heard note of wood
peewee and finally located the bird.
In vicinity of dairy barns, heard
song sparrow, golden finch, and
lutescent warblers, and 'russet-backed'
thrush. - In willow shrub, in
canyon above hopserum lab. saw
and heard lazuli bunting. - On
