23 April 81 Tucson Ariz. and a Duck in the other hand, by the time I was ready it was around a point near by. I waited around some time trying to find it but failed to see it again, It could not have gone far. Saw several Belted Kingfishers also Killdeer, and Sandpipers, and an Osprey flew past. 5953 266 Trochilus atypoides? ?/IX/1.6 9ad Dark brown, Bill and feet black. Sound of ghy. I hardly know what to call this, It seems to come nearest to Anna but it is too light colour beneath and the bill is larger than that of any X species I have with one, which include, S. platypterus anna, costae, henshawi, and T. atypoides. Saw no males this morning but found another nest with an egg which I left for a day or two.
