14 April 81 35 Miles East of Torecon Hill 5478. 191. Sctinus harisum 83N21 8 Ith plum. Bill black bluish at base below. Legs dark bluish Insects. Saw several of this species today migrating. I do not think any will stay to bred on the plains as I believe they breed in the mountains. Drove 20 Miles. Soon after starting the brush gave way to grass and later in the day we skirted the north end of the Whetstone Mountains passing through scattering Semi-Oak which further on lower down on the Plains was replaced by Migrating in scattering [illegible] streaks along the washes.
