Aythya collaris.(?)
1888, Outlet. Lake Umbagog.
October 2.
Saw a Duck which I am quite sure was a Ring-neck float-
ing within 100 yds. Paddled within about 60 yds. when it rose. I
shot both barrels at it without effect.
Aythya collaris. Lake Umbagog.
1889, Outlet of Lake.
September 19.
Returning to the Outlet we flushed a pair of Ring-necked
Ducks, a black-headed drake and gray female. I saw the gray
speculum distinctly as they went off.
