Pedicels The antlerie of the pedicelle presents the most peculiar character about this part of its purpose. From the dorsal fin to a point 300 mils, external plates inserting the softer edge is almost parallel with the axis of the body; at that point, it drops abruptly down to the pleures. This softer edge is thin & sharp. The lower edge of the pedicelle presents a prominent rounded "hump", [illegible] begin immediately behind anus & ending 200 mils above flubles insertion. This peculiar shape to the pedicelle gives the animal a "chirky" appearance. The lower jaw, projects slightly beyond upper & is blunt. The head is blunt, narrowing rapidly from the eyes to the snout, & defining to it.
