"The Shrike"
G. Philadelphia as well as a
Persons Bar, in nearly perfection
full plumage; the latter as
noted in '871 strolled so
exactly like Icterus Baltimore
that I could not detect the
highest difference: he was
drawing on the top of a Green
Down 300 yds. away when
drawing as he spread his
wings and sailed in
a long curve without a single
flap to a brush within a
few yds. I when an own
standing, Garden Sw.
was especially abundant
everywhere. We saw them
flocks of 6 Green & I shot
Two with my rifle missing
besides two flying shots with
stone guns. While driving
towards home at twilight
an owl passed high over
our heads flying almost
like a night black. It was
I think a Syrius nebulous
and I was much pleased
at getting this little insight
into his habits. We saw
Garden mis Amphis edron
& others in the very heart of
the woods. Heard also a
gry. Gallatous The note is
unnistakable though not
like that of Todlaphus.
