It was from Ellswet's team & I have nine dogs; six from Obloyek, two from Taites & one from Oquiah.
About 11? On Mar 12h & left Etch with Henry Cinalto & Shutsbee.
Made our way thru stiff wind & Camority
Temp - 31°. No loads except personal clothes & team. I dog junior each.
Thu. Feb. 12, 1914
Made trip to Payer Harbor in 4 hours.
Found there the 4 men who had been sent chief must have meant. They were Ellis, Janshijuek, Wilbricht & Kucargujuck.
Janshijuek had killed a bear on the way over.
Fri. Feb. 13, 1914
Temp - 48°. Travelled to point just east of entrance to Alexandra Fiord, about 20 miles from Payer Harbor.
Camped on ice in tents. Temp - 58°
