land. Friday May 15 - 1914 Travelled from Lake to Lake arm in arm in about 11 hrs, stopping at the glade on the top of the glacier to make tea + pick up juniper canes there. We were among the clouds most of the time + had a snow storm for a while on top. I had an unlucky day. I lost my water bottle, tipped over my kerosene heating with numerous, & tore off my best dogs clothes to death trying to swallow too large a chunk of juniper-micra, which stuck in his throat. Saturday May 16 - 1914 We are travelling at night + have two for a week. This means that we must be more careful in our dates & use check up every time with our diaries. I found the box Ed had left here with chocolate, hash + milk in it. My the things tasted good. There were 14 cans of milk in the canteen line & three gamines each a can to eat. Ed killed a seal in Bristows Fjord. The going was being & we camped about noon at the mouth of the fjord. We had a big supper including hash.
