Sea rains on top of the cafe & the fresko were until some miles out to sea. We had tea & then Mrs & I climbed to the top of the cafe & found Peary's record. We copied this (PEARY June 28-1901) & left a brief account of our trip. There was also a print of Peary's self American flag in the corner & this containing the record. We plan to depart tomorrow. I am going south for searching a record & Mrs to cafe Colgate after Peary's. Thursday April 30-1905 Yesterday at 6:30 am Mr & I started, he with 2 & I with p. To camp out one hour for picking up the other records. P & I rounded Cafe Homer. Hurried & were met by considerable wind. When we reached the cafe below I saw a storm was at hand. P thought it best to return to The yers. We had gone only a little way when the wind & snow in - creased to such violence that my dogs refused to move. I lost P's trail but managed to try on for a while finally my dogs would not move no matter how I beat them. I must take a way & found the other trail as P had the storm & ice. I found him for down, about 50 yds & one side of his mouth.
