July 22. Out in morning with Dorothy to big ridge NW of camp, up ridge nearly to top then along ridge for a couple of miles & back via deep gorge & creek that joins Ogotoronde Creek. Sun not really out, although a much better day than yesterday, so took a couple of photographs, esp. of Dodecathreon and a magenta colored Castilleja. Back for lunch, then out to some area we visited Saturday night, to photograph plants, with improved weather. Finally found an friendly fox who was sleeping in willows & who yawned & scratched at a distance of 20 feet, until
