July 12. Another cold raining night and dark foggy morning. After breakfast, settled down & sorted & recorded collections made July 10 & 11 & Dowding put them in papers. We finally finished the tedious job at 4:00pm. I went out to visit old cabin & climbed western ridge from back - a vaitable rock garden & the first lupines. I had seen in this area. Ascent from back much easier & less steep than from north. By the time we got to the top, the ceiling came down below mountain Top, so we had only fragmentary, views of camp, lake, surrounding Country, etc. In good weather,
