July 7 (Sunday). Sleeps until 9:30, thanks to black out shutter on bedroom window. Went to lab, changed drivers in one enormous mass, finished identifications of insects brought in by others. Had long talk with Phil Johnson, who took Ph.D. with Dungers Billings, & who knows Pierre Dunceran well - an interesting & bright boy not ashamed to be a naturalist in this molecular age. Spent p.m. on Correspondence - letters to Kokebeck, Dunceran, Erwin, Rickett & carbons + Note to Grace Dietz. Mullens over for drinks after dinner.
