Holmen & Mårtensson in 1960 or 1961. Found Fissidens in quantity - had been looking for it. Habitats not right for many things - have not seen Rhipidium, for example. Still have not collected Ceratodon, in great abundance and Philopidium, commoner here than at Barrow. Joe Althfick, the "caretaker", came to call - and stayed. Rained in evening. To bed early - have slept poorly lately. Waked up nearly at midnight by plane that circled & finally landed. Not ARL & not marked- perhaps driven, as everyone came a walk back to village.
