(11) We had another wet day
with intervals of sunshine.
At night there was hard rain
+ in the morning low mist
+ quiet rain. I secured
another & Saranopithecus
on the same ridge as yester-
day. The Liso an army of
boys + men armed with bow
arrows brought in a fair large?
Montjae which they had
shot in the leg with a primed
arrow. They & said it ran
quite away before the person
killed it. The person is
a vegetable substance, black,
tarry in color appearance.
(12) Today for the first time
we heard gibbons calling.
They called at 8 am for a few
minutes + all the others got
more than mile away we
could not find them. The
country we travelled down is
covered by fine forest of long-leafed
oaks + laurels but no figs.
The branches here are very
wicked not being armed at
each node by a whole of short
