Dec 6 At about 10:00 which we came out of river
clips and on to the game leading out
into the Grand Valley. Following this game
down to the field and then in an easterly
direction over the relatively flat valley. Our
camp is along one of the small streams which
flow from the hills through the valley to join
the R. River. The farm has been one of
set over area, cultivated gardens and abandoned
grass land gardens.
Weather: 6:00 - 14:00 clear, few scattered
clouds on valley.
14:00 - 28:00 - overcast, rain.
Dec 7 Grand River camp, Nethlands New Guinea 16:00
left the camp in central Grand Valley this
morning and arrived here this afternoon at about
1:00. There is a good camp established near
the edge of the river in an old garden
clearing. This area has been at some time
a cattle farm and garden. There are cultivated
fields some 20 mins distant from here. Rather the
thing I most intent that none of the original
fruit remains. All has been cleared away
on the nearby hill slopes with go over the east.
The clearing is now second growth grassland
with ferns and shrubs along little
old abandoned garden areas.
Weather 6:00 - 12:06 scattered clouds.
12:00 - 28:00 overcast, rain.
