6:00 - 12:00 clear with occasional cloud.

The morning bird at camp. The entire
party consist of Dyaks, soldiers and European personnel
moving towards a next camp on the
Brend river. Our tent has been along the
south side of the river, well up on the slope,
through the cultivated areas of the
southern canopy slope. It he followed along a
native path, a well worn path which apparently
in the main route toward the valley.
NE cliff
camp at 6:30 and after travelling slowly stopping
frequently I wait for carriers and a 4 hr. at for
lunch arrived in camp by 12:15. The remainder
of the day was spent short carrying food and
water.
Weather: 6:00 - 14:00 clear with occasional cloud.
14:00 - 20:00 overcast, rain.
