Many BFB w chicks nesting, eggs.
Some immatures seen.
Sooty Tern have mostly all flying
young. Gray-backed Tern present
4 nests in sm numbers - Fred found
2 w eggs. No young seen.
Blood samples in evening
from 76 Sooties, 26 Great Fugo, 31
Lesser Frigo.
Jicks very common in
S.T. nesting area. S.T. colony
located all around light house.
19 May 65 Up at 0700. Breakfast & out
for Berlese samples. Took sample
from S.T. area, RTTB nest, BFB nest.
Found another RTB nest bring ing
total 6 1/4 nests, 1 1/2 chicks, plus 1
abandoned egg. 5 birds return.
Bandied 200 Sooty Tern nestlings
in afternoon. Many small nestlings
inland of light house. Saw several
completely crowing chicks.
Sixty S.T. Blood Samples in
evening.
