March 5, 1949, Amador County, from Cosumnes River to C.S.H. 16 on Latrobe road. 1345-1500. Common Canada Geese - 11 on dike and in water of small stock water impoundment. They had very white underparts. Sharp-shinned Hawk Mourning Dove - 1 Flicker California Woodpecker Black Phoebe Yellow-billed Magpies Pallid Wren-tits. Robins feeding on open ground in pastures, etc. Hutton Vireo in oak woodland Audubon Warblers W. Meadowlarks in large flocks in oak-pasture areas Sacramento Spotted Towhees Sacramento Brown Towhee
