Feb. 23, 1948 - N. 15¾ Jackson St - Corvallis - 745 a.m. - Of calm, calm. 3 Flickors - sex not determined. One on crossarm of telephone pole, the other two on wires 3½ away, and below the 1st bird, who seemed indifferent to the display activities of the 2 other birds. These two would utter expected call notes, + at intervals fan the tail gracefully, or nervously, and tilt the head upwards ones ½-way, or to the side, still giving voice at same time. Twice the two birds got side by side, almost facing each other, doing the same thing. Another time flying the same direction. Dipping + bowing also took place all the time. 815
