Cascadia State Park continued: May 24, 1947 Stellar Jay Red-breasted Nuthatch Robins common MacGillivray Warblers - a few heard and seen Meadowlark in small pasture area Brewer Blackbirds common in flat area by Dobbin Creek Western Tanager - common and heard everywhere. May 24, 1947, Sheep Creek, S. Santiam Hiway 1330-1500 pst. Pileated Woodpecker heard Raven - one seen Dipper - two adults and 2 or 3 nearly grown young in rocky gorge below the bridge. May 24, 1947, Peoria Ferry Road Marsh, 5 miles from Corvallis, 615 p.m. Wood Duck female and 5& young swimming from Pond lily emergent leaves in to spirea and willow thicket in the water. Cassin Vireos heard Mac Gillivray Warblers seen. Pacific Yellow throats heard Long-tailed Chats heard Meadowlarks Brewer Blackbirds Lazuli Buntings plentiful in the area Purple Finch House Finch Towhee M & F Juncos Song Sparrows
