Phelsuma 1982 August 8 Helgard & Art. Starting 24 July, there has been a power struggle on block (Helgard-Endlich-Eder-Zebr) and neighboring areas to west Endlich, northy Eder & east Zebr. I was aware of a pair living NW of us most of the past years (since '72). There has also been a pair along Helgard, and to the east of us. This area has been vacant for some months (no local young this year). Only within past two weeks, there has been repeated calling, flying, repeated moving around, with four or calling shifting within the work. Most calling came from N, NW & W - telling me the chief interaction was with the established pair. At least once, a group of three crossed Eder from on block heading NW towards west, calling repeatedly and excitedly as more ad concurrent calling was going on behind them (within our block), as I walked down Helgard close to Endlich. By today, this has subsided, and there is a guy in the immediate vicinity gone hours, about 3/4 their work, and easily identifiable individually. Aug. 21 The guy was caught in a squirrel trap on the front deck & released. Still in
