This sequence confirms earlier interpretation
to effect that a group meeting at dependent parts
location 4.
During that Oct.-Nov. interval of local
territorial intrusions, an intruder was chased by
the lone male again into the box elder,
when it moved about slowly keeping well
within The turn-sign area, while its defile
perched on a nearby cone and watched. The
? was well to the east some 100 ft also on the
line. The intruder behaved "fraternely" as if
uncertain of next move. Presently it took
wing to the WSW. The male did not chase
but escorted in that direction, calling crack,
crack, crack (i.e., announcement).
