P.H. Kelley 1984 Journal Skeletons and tissues were taken from dead animals, and the living animals were taken back to UCG and caged in groups of 5 with seed, water & vegetation. We left Killarney at 2.30pm and got back to UCG at 6pm. Dromore Wood, 2 H; W Crusheen, Co Clare, Ireland & July 24 Ballygriffy Wood, 2H; N.W. Barefield, Co Clare, Ireland. Cathy and I loaded up the Renault 5 in the morning. Left Galway at 10am and we reached our destination in Clare at 11am. Unfortunately we had to drive in to Ennis to get a key to the Forestry gates from Michael Barry. We set 50 longworths (baited with oats) in Ballygriffy Wood, and 50 more in Dromore Wood. Traps were laid as usual 5 paces apart in lines of 10 mainly in patches of Bracken & Bramble which bordered the forest roads. That done we drove 20 miles west to the narrow, winding, country roads of Clare through Lisdoonvarna to Doolin. Specifically, to O'Connor's Pub in Doolin, this pub is famous for its folk music and the Guinness is excellent to boot. One of the sons, Sean, is a friend of mine from college (UCG) and he opened a small but excellent seafood restaurant next door to the pub. We eate there a few weeks later and the meal was
