P.A.Kelly 1984 Journal lines and shifted 60 traps from Ross Island to similar habitat on the Huckerus Peninsula. We also laid 40 Museum Specials baited with a mixture of peanut butter & oatmeal along the Driveway, to supplement the 3 lines of longworths already there. Again we had a- evening meal in the Stella, badly wanted after the damp & drizzle of the day. We checked the lines along the Driveway at 9.30 pm, and Cathy & I got lodgings in JSF's accomodation (O'Shea's -Dearborn) ($8/person/night) for the night. This is getting too exhor sive , we'll have to camp out from now on. Wed, July 10 Up at 7.30 and had the usual B&B Breakfast of Juice, Cereal, Bacon/Egg/Sausage, Brown Bread, Toast and Tea or Coffee. We then got on with lifting the traps and, despite the 3rd day of rain, we enjoyed it on account of the better trap success.
