P.A. Kelly 1984 Journal such specimen as 'unusual'. See map for trapping locations on Alcatraz: Station (1): Water Tower Gull Colony. Set 6 traps, 2 along wall near fuel tanks, 2 in the scrub across from fuel tanks, 1 in 'tunnel', 4/1 under bush at Top of steps. Station (2): Foghorn (N.E. end) Set 2 traps one in each clump of bushes (laurel & buckbrush). Station (3): Water Tower Slope and Cliff. Set 4 traps, in bushes & bramble along base of slope although I was nearer to the 'industry' building. Station (4): East 'Headrow' - fence enclosed grassy slope N.E. of a Big Chimney Stack at 'Industry' Building. Set 7 traps, 4 in mall grass (furrows present) near upper fence and 3 along path near lower fence. Station (5): The Incinerator, Set 3 traps in Bramble and Yuchzia. Station (6): Southwest of Paradeground. Set remaining 3 traps in Cyperus, Bramble, and in Rubble (with Padded Plant?). Weather was fairly good throughout: Sunny, slight fog or smog, but a strong breeze which made jackets necessary.
