deferred traf - checking until dawn. The Bunny Club was available to us for the weekend.
It was quite an experience staying there.
Fri Mar 9
Started checking trafs c. 5 am. Poor traf success mainly D. panamintius and Peromyscus but we also caught one Nestoma lefida. Scott Elliott arrived in the early evening. While we played Scrabble, a ringtail climbed up on the rocks in the center of the Bunny Club living room and watched us. My first ever sighting of Bassariscus astutus - beautiful animal. While we slept he patrolled the kitchen work tops while a spotted skunk thumbed around on the floor looking for garbage.

Scott made breakfast while Feliza and I checked the trafs. Similar results to last night but one more lefida. In the mid-afternoon I got Scott and Feliza to leave me at the base of Cottonwood Canyon so that I could take a hike in search of Nestoma fuscipes lonosus.
