PA Kelly 1989 Journal July 28 1835 pst Found the remains of 2 rats in (cont.) 2 separate traps at House 37. One was F1756-57 and the other was M1877-78. She by me was last captured at H.39 on 20 Dec 1988 weighing 181g and he was last captured by Suzi de Mille & Sarah West at H.39 on 29 May 1988 weighing 283g. Evidently Suzi and Sarah left a pair of traps open at H.37 when they did a census for me from 29-31 May 1988. Decided to keep the skulls since they are both of known age: F1756-57 was born in April '88 (1st caft. 12 May 88 - 78g) -- Cat# PK 194; M1877-78 was probably born in late May '88 (1st caft. 29 June 88 - 154g - Cat# PK 195. 1857 PST Hze 58B (in hollow Red Willow that crosses creek at H.58A) is looking very active. Also found another metal box Green marker (#2266) between ^ house 58 and 58A. Always Willow in the creek bed at H65 has collapsed into the cr. bed - impassable. The drought (3 years now - Big Creek last flowed in Summer '86) seems to be taking a heavy toll on ^ the flora along the creek although the rats find does not seem to be adversely affected. 1919 PST found a new house at the base of a large red willow in the middle of the wide creek bed between House 74 & Hze 76. Designating it as H.76A.
