were baited with oatmeal.
Carol Patton had a substantial chicken
salad prepared for the hungry trappers.
She also gave us chilli last night to keep
us on our toes.
We checked traps at about 10 pm.
Results: (PK and HG)

Snaf Traps; 1 ? Peromyscus partly eaten
Tomahawks; Nothing

Sept 11 Checked traps again 8 am (PK and HG)
Shermans; 1 ? Dipodomys panamintinus
2 Perognathus parvus released ??d.10?
6 Peromyscus maniculatus ??g.4?d?
Snaf Traps; 4 P. maniculatus
1 P. parvus (still living)
Tomahawks; Nothing.
We collected all our traps and then drove back
to Sagehen (arr. c. 11am) where we did some more
stuffing before lunch. We then cleaned the camp
under Carol's directions and left for Berkeley
at 2 pm. Very hot crossing the Central Valley
(90-100?) and arrived in Berkeley c. 6 pm.
