P.A.Kelly 1988 General Wed. Dec. 21 0700: Checked traps with Sooji, Maria & Jim. We caught 16 rats at 15 houses - 29 trapped (house) (48.3% trapping success/live). The low success is no doubt a function of the continuous and often heavy rain that fell all night long. Nevertheless, all 16 animals were snug, dry and cozy in their shelters. Caught a new & (1970-71) at H. 139. Also had a new ? (1972-73) at H. 130, I wonder if she is kin of ? 1229 [moved -> H. 506 in May 87] and her daughter ? 1384, or ?/1677 who was there [H. 130] at Halloween. Stopped raining while we trap - checked but it started again after breakfast and continued off and on all morning. So we decided not to map any more houses on School Hill for the moment.
