P.A. Kelly 1988 Journal Apr. 15 1300 PST: I finally decided to do something (cont.) with the ? woodrat Jim Griffin captured in his attic on April 1st (in captivity since). I think I will hold her for feeding experiments. She weighed 160g, I bet she was heavier on April 1st. Perf. but not lactating. Was lactating on April 1st. I put her in a large holding cage (27 ft³) in the lower barn with 80g Valley Oak Stems + leaves, 50g of Cleaned Corn, and 6 large Q. lobata acorns. Tagged her right ear only (# 1730). 1530 PST: Started setting traps. Set 66 in all from H.1 to H.209. Found 3 more bobcat scats between H.107 + H.109 - too wet (rain) to pick up yet. 1636 PST: Large cock turkey in stand of oaks on East face of Haystack Hill. Walked downhill then flew across Long Field to Sch. Hill. 1700 PST: Flock of 40-50 Band-tailed Pigeon circling over Long Field, Pearso Field + Blum Ford. Landing periodically in Valley Oaks. 1912 PST: Great Horned Owl calling from around Blum Knoll. Didn't respond to my calls. 1930 PST: Put up study skins of 2 young rats (PK 180 + 181) in the lab. 2145 PST: Started checking traps at H.134. Saw a Ginger feral cat around there. Moved the
