Apr. 14 capture however :
( cont) 2225 : H. 106A, caught ♀ 1671-72 (81g). She was first captured at H.103A, weighing 53g, on 3/29.
2234: H. 116 ♂ 1675-76 (231g). Not scrotal, had 2 large (c. ½" long) wounds on r. side of rump, plus some fur damage on back + sides. He was first (+ last) captured at H.127A on March 29th, weighed 213g then. Also had no warbles then, although he now has 2 med- sized one, on his throat.
2246: H. 127A ♂ 1527-28 (271g), good condition. First (+ last) captured at H.109 on Nov. 1st 1987 weighing 213g then. Has put on 58 g in the past 5½ mths. He is also 40 g heavier than ♂ 1675-76, who was at this same house on March 29th. I wonder if he is responsible for ♂ 1675's rump wounds?
Closed the feral cat trap and got to feed around 2330.
4am,
Apr. 15 0931 PST : Blow Pond, no fresh tracks.
1000 - 1200: Tissued the 2 young woodrats (♂1669 & ♂ 1691) from the Rad.Hse attic. I will make study skins later on this evening (Cat. #s 180 and 181). They are in good shape despite the fact that they both lost 10-20g (in captivity since March 28th and 29th). I decided to cool the postcranial skeleton of both of them. They were pretty tasteless. Never again.
