P.A.Kelly 1988 Journal Apr.13 last night but I doubt that H.16 could (cont.) be damp already. Anyway, she has been out of circulation long enough, time to return her to her home. I set a large carnivore trap baited w. a can of cat food for the larger ginger house cat I saw on the lane (and on the hood of my truck) last night. 2137: H.91 , caught >1192 (302g) dusted him again with orange pig. New jaws ? (1722-23, 109g) in other trap - mother ? ?1655 at 1525). 2200: Tagged Rat watching me from holes in Red Dillow at H.89. I should try to get hold of some color-coded tags for these sorts of observations. (like the ones Janet Randell S.F. State is using in her 5 Rat study). 2203: Found a 7" Amblestoma tigrinum in creek bed by H.82. Feisty and in good condition, Very pretty. Left alone. 2242: Found a 3" Ancile at H.62 also saw another one (4") later on at H.50. Thurs Apr. 14 0017: H.90 . Finally captured >1505-06. He's huge (360g) but he doesn't seem to be reproductively active. Dusted w. Red pigment. I caught a lot of rats between H.25 + H.98 (except from H.66A to H.71). 0027: Pair of Barn Owls flying and vocalizing in tandem over Pearson Field + Long Field.
