P.A. Kelly 1988 Journal Mar 29 (O>1691, 134g) in the Red Hze attic. I am (cont.) keeping him along w. his sib (F1669) for DNA extractions. I also intend to use their mother (F1670) and the litter she is currently suckling. Bed by 2330. Wed. Mar 30 0300 Got up to continue fluorescent pigment tracking. 0318 pst: Just saw a large pig on the lane near N.134. His(?) skin was blotched w. Grey, (Dermatitis?) and he walked right up to the front of the truck apparently dazzled and disoriented by the headlights before turning into the brush on up School Hill. He looked in good condition despite the grey blotches. 30-05 Too bad Kucera needed his rifle this week for a deer take in the Owens Valley. 344 pst: New jw. F (1694-95, 61g) at H.91A. I also had 2 new jaws (O>1689-90, 129g; F1692-93, 129g) earlier at H.127. 353 pst: Dasted O>1336-1660 green at H.85. 421 pst: Sitting in truck at lane. Can hear a lot of T.R. coming from "80's + 90's". 505 pst: Getting bright. Closed all traps. Went back to Red Hze and slept until 0900. Updated notes. Made a study skin of the P. leufii killed in the trap at H.82 last night (Cat# P.K.129) Repaired both handling bags.
